In May 1981, Spring Valley was formed. Spring Valley is an unincorporated town and census-designated place located 2 miles west of Las Vegas Strip, in Clark County, Nevada, US. A big park is located in the north-central part of the town, Desert Breeze Park. The Roger M. Bryan Elementary School is next to the park. Spring Valley is home to tennis players Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf as well as George J. Maloof, Jr., former Sacramento Kings owners. The Sultan of Brunei has a large residence there and Carrot Top has his residence in the area in Las Vegas. Kurt and Kyle Busch, NASCAR drivers, attended Spring Valley Durango High School.
Much of Spring Valley falls under Nevada ‘s 1st Congressional District, but within the 3rd District are parts west of Durango and south of Russell. Both Spring Valley public schools are a member of the Clark County School District. The town was initially 1 square mile (3 km2), but now covers most of Las Vegas Valley ‘s southwest portion, covering 33.4 square miles.
